　　一、认清形势
　　对于第一次参加同等学力考试的考生来讲，首先要了解同等学力英语的考试题型，考试时间仍然是两个半小时，分卷一和卷二两个部分。卷一(一个半小时)，第一部分：口语交际(10分)，每题一分 ;第二部分：词汇(10分)每题0.5分 ;第三部分：阅语理解(25分)，五篇文章，25个小题。第四部分：完型填空 (15分)，每题一分。第五部分：辨错题(5分)每题0.5分。加起来卷一总共65分。之后会有5分钟的收卷时间，接下来就是我们的卷二考试。卷二当中：第一部分：英译汉(10分);第二部分：汉译英(10分);第三部分：写作(15分)。
　　二、合理安排复习时间
不管水平好差，但同时要备考两门的考生：注意时间综合合理分配。专业课对于大部分考生来说，虽然也很难，但综合学科的考题都是专业课程中所需要掌握的重点，并且专业课的内容毕竟都是中文，对成年人来讲，虽然记忆力下降，但逻辑推理能力较强，所以我建议大家在5月份之前，将主要精还是放在英语上，5月份之后主抓背诵的同时，英语切不可丢。
　　三、找准复习的侧重点
　　基础不同的考生侧重点也就不同。
　　四、英语词汇
　　初期阶段的复习重点还是在英语单词上边。
　　我们都知道词汇是英语考试中的基础，好多考生也都会问在短时间应该怎么样复习词汇?如果是在一年前复习的话，建议背词汇，背诵、默写。但目前为止90多天按照大纲来背单词是不太现实的，现在学习单词建议结合历年真题，将词汇放到历年真题里去记忆。首先按照词根词缀法记忆，按照词根词缀的方法记忆词汇可以起到举一反三的作用。其次是按照词汇的同义近义或相关词汇来记忆。最后不要指望背一遍就能记住，建议要以遍数取胜，只有多看才能记住。如果没时间记忆全部的词汇那就一定要分层次来学习，基础2000词一定记住拼写和用法，这些是你翻译和写作的基础，再就是高频词汇有1000多个，只需要混个脸熟就可以，这些词汇是在历年真题中出现频率比较多的，最后是重点词，大概有200个左右，这些是在阅读理解中出现的大家所不认识的词汇，所以大家要将这三方面的词汇好好记住。三个方面去记忆：层次-方式-条件。
