英国文学史上的三大史诗,截止2019年4月学术界并没有这种说法。
英国著名的史诗有;
1、《失乐园》是英国政治家、学者约翰·弥尔顿创作的史诗。《失乐园》讲述诗中叛逆之神撒旦,因为反抗上帝的权威被打入地狱,却毫不屈服,为复仇寻至伊甸园。亚当与夏娃受被撒旦附身的蛇的引诱,偷吃了上帝明令禁吃的知识树上的果子。最终,撒旦及其同伙遭谴全变成了蛇,亚当与夏娃被逐出了伊甸园。

2、《复乐园》该书是英国著名诗人、政治活动家弥尔顿继长篇圣经题材诗《失乐园》之后的又一力作,也可说是《失乐园》的续篇。作家以饱满的热情讴歌了耶稣的降生,讲述了耶稣抵御住撒旦的诱惑,从而拯救人类重返伊甸园的故事。
3、《斗士参孙》(Samson Agonistes)(1671年)是一部悲剧,取材于《旧约·士师记》。作品写了斗士参孙由于妻子大利拉出卖了他力大无比的秘密,被非利士人抓住之后,挖去了双眼,剪去了头发,关进监狱里服苦役。

4、《贝奥武夫》(Beowulf), 一译贝奥武甫,讲述了斯堪的纳维亚的英雄贝奥武夫的英勇事迹。是迄今为止发现的英国盎格鲁—撒克逊时期最古老、最长的一部较完整的文学作品,也是欧洲最早的方言史诗,完成于公元八世纪左右。

英美文学和语言学哪个好
