My favorite sports star is a famous elder brother from Shanghai, and his name is Liu Xiang. He was well known for winning the first golden metal for China in 110 meter cross-bar game in 2004 Greek Olympic Games. Besides this, the reason I love him is that he made me proud of being a Chinese.

   I still remember the first time I saw this elder brother on TV. It was on a summer night when I was 8 years old, and I was awakened by the noise from the living room of my family, as if someone was cheering. So I got up and went to see what was going on. When I came into the living room, I saw my father was watching TV, laughing and clapping. “What are you doing Dad?” I asked. “Come here my girl, you should look at this! He wins golden metal! The first one in cross-bar game in our Olympic history!” My father answered excitedly. At that time I had no idea of what my father said, but only came to sit together with him in front of TV, and I saw a Chinese elder brother was slowly running around the track, waving his hands to the audience with our national flag on his shoulder. “Why did he put our Flag on his shoulder?” “Because he is telling the whole world that the winner is a Chinese. We are Chinese!” My father answered in a proud tone. “He must love our country very much!” I told to my heart. The next day I got to know that the elder brother was called Liu Xiang, and he won the first golden metal in Olympic 110 meter cross-bar game in Chinese history on 28th Aug 2004.

   As time goes by I became more and more interested in Brother Liu Xiang and his games. I noted that every time he won a golden metal or became a winner in a game, he always put our national flag on his shoulder. And every time I saw his practice, my father’s word would come to my brain: “He is telling the whole world that the winner is a Chinese. We are Chinese!” At that moment I was always deeply touched by something, something exciting, something proud. I could not tell what that was, but I knew why I was touch: I am a Chinese.

I love my elder brother Liu Xiang, and I wish he win another golden metal in 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. I know that not only would I be proud at that moment, but also the whole China!

With the development of society, people begin to face more and more new problems. Where to live is one of them. Not like the old times, nowadays, people are able to have more independent choices of where to live.

My favourite animal is a wolf. I first started luiking them when my dog died because he looked somewhat like a wolf and he was loyal and strong, just like a wolf. They are also beautiful animals.
