Diablo 2: Resurrected Season 6 marks the action-RPG’s first refresh of 2024, giving us a good reason to hop back in and level new characters between its start and end dates.

Offering an old-school alternative to the newer Diablo 4, estimating the release date of Diablo 2: Resurrected’s sixth ladder season often proves tricky without official word from Blizzard. The developer initially aimed to reset the ladder approximately every four months, but we have had to wait longer in the past.

With its predecessor out since late September 2023, we now have confirmation that we will learn more about Diablo II: Resurrected’s ladder season 6 start date at some point during the week of February 5, 2024.

We then found out that it is actually slated to kick off on February 22 at 5 PM PT.

The change in start time has the aim of making things “more consistent with Diablo III times historically and to revert back to what we had for the first few seasons,” according to Diablo Global Community Development Director Adam Fletcher.

We currently expect D2R’s Season 6 end date to occur at some point during June or July 2024, with official confirmation arriving closer to the actual date.

Although past seasons were accompanied by patches that introduced changes, including some that weren’t part of the original release, Blizzard seems to be moving away from them.

The fifth season simply reset the ladder and it looks like the sixth will receive the same treatment, as no balance changes or new content were revealed in the blog post dedicated to it.
