I am an experienced Lightroom Classic user and have been scanning thousands of old photos into Lightroom. The scanning software is Epson FastFoto that creates a subdirectory for each batch of photos. I then import the photos into Lightroom and publish them on SmugMug. This usually works flawlessly but I was importing some images taken with my iPhone and this seems to have set a default that the subsequent scanned items get imported in the iCloud Photo folder and not in the large FastFoto folder. Windows File Explorer confirms that the scanned images are in a folder within the FastFoto folder but Lightroom imports them under the iCloud folder. I can update the folder location, which works, but apparently Lightroom has lost its mind and wants to import all these new files under the previously used folder. This simply adds more time to the process. Does anyone know where the default is being set and how to correct it?
