The KLN-205 is a mouse squamous cell carcinoma derived from Nettesheim lung carcinoma. It exhibits transplantability across various mouse strains, including DBA/2, BDF1, AKD2F1, and BALB/c, although it does not fare well in C3H/He or ICR mice. Remarkably, KLN-205 cells maintain remarkable consistency in growth kinetics, plating efficiency, ultrastructural characteristics, and modal chromosome number, regardless of early or late in vitro passages. Over its more than four-decade existence, this cell line has preserved a remarkably stable, nearly tetraploid karyotype comprising 77-82 chromosomes, with minimal structural chromosomal aberrations, limited to only six derivatives involving chromosomes 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, and/or 19.
Why choose KLN-205 from AcceGen?
KLN-205 cells from AcceGen are distinguished by their exceptional viability and quality. They are incubated under optimal conditions and skillfully cryopreserved by operators, ensuring their integrity. Moreover, these cells undergo rigorous quality control procedures to certify their mycoplasma-free status, guaranteeing their reliability for research purposes.
