With this online tool, you can transform a JPG (in the input) into a PNG (in the output). It works entirely in your browser and only uses the HTML5 features to do the conversion. In the options, you can also enable transparency for the output PNG. When this option is turned on, you can select one of the colors in the JPG (and, optionally, a certain percentage of its tones) that will be converted to the transparent color in the PNG. For example, you can enter the color "green" in the options to make it transparent and then add 15% of its shades to the transparency. By default, the program scans and finds all areas of the specified color within the entire PNG image. However, if you activate the "Delete External Regions" option, then the program will only make pixels transparent if they touch the edges of the PNG image. For example, this option is useful if you want to remove the background around text but don't want to remove details of the same color located inside the letters (such as "a", "e", "o" and others that have hollow areas). Another useful option is the smoothing option. This option eliminates noisy pixels near the edges of opaque regions of the removed color. Before saving the output PNG, you can also preview the transparent regions by turning on the transparency mask option. Jpgabulous!
