Train from Fiumicino to Rome Termini

Taking the train to Rome’s Termini station — the train station located in central Rome — will spare you the time and stress of navigating Rome’s busy streets in a taxi. It takes just 32 minutes by non-stop train to travel from Rome’s central Termini station to Fiumicino. The Leonardo Express train leaves Fiumicino every 15 minutes to cover the 20 miles to Termini.

Trains leave Rome Fiumicino station every 15 minutes for Rome Termini — nearly 100 trains per day. The earliest train leaves Rome Fiumicino station at 5:38 a.m. The last train to Termini leaves Fiumicino at 11:53 p.m. 

If you buy your ticket online, keep a printout of your purchase to show on the train. However, if you buy your ticket at a kiosk or ticket desk, you must validate your ticket at one of the machines on the train platform before you board! These ticket machines are small and easy to miss. If you don’t find one, ask a station employee or local to point it out to you.

Amenities on the Leonardo Express train to Rome Termini

All Leonardo Express trains are equipped with air conditioning and electrical outlets at your seat to charge devices. Take note that there is no wi-fi available on these trains. Food and coffee are not served during this 32-minute trip. All trains on this route are wheelchair accessible. At the end of each car you’ll find a restroom and plenty of racks to store large luggage.
