Thus it might as well be said that students’ surfing the Internet has come into fashion and become a hot topic. Are there any advantages or disadvantages to students spending their precious time on the Internet. Different people have different opinions. Some say the
Internet is an inexhaustible resource which can provide students with fast and abundant information while others claim that it is harmful for students to surf the Internet since they are likely to be cheated by those unhealthy and false information. As to this question I do hold that students should not spend too much time on the Internet. Admittedly the Internet has been playing an important role in our daily life through which students can learn things make friends and send emails etc. But all these cannot make up for the troubles it has caused to students. First it cannot be denied that there remains a great deal of unhealthy information in cyberspace like pornographic pictures obscene films or vulgar music and things of that sort. Once attracted by such a powerful magnet students especially the innocent ones who are in the age of puberty appear to have little self-control and tend to be misled sinking deeper and deeper even committing crime at last. Besides surfing the Internet is rather time and energy-consuming. Some students complain that their real life is monotonous and they regard surfing the Internet the only way to kill time and seek happiness. Nevertheless the moment they sit before their computers they seem to forget the whole world not to mention studies. Sometimes they will take a whole
day and night online chatting and playing adventurous games. No wonder they cannot help yawning and falling asleep in class the next day. However once they have recovered from tiredness and regained their vigor they will surf the Internet again.
The Internet is nothing but a sticky spider web while students are just like insects tied up unfortunately in a trap. With their energy gradually fading students finally fall victim to the spider. How miserable Furthermore surfing the Internet will to a great extent bring extra economic burdens to students who are mainly supported by their families. So far as I know a student will be charged 2RMB per hour in the Internet bar then you can imagine how much money he has to pay provided he keeps on surfing online for a few hours everyday. To sum up I do not think the Internet does students much good but this does not mean that students should not acquire useful information from the Internet. My suggestion is that students should have a right attitude toward the Internet. They’d better not be preoccupied with the Internet and forget their main task. They should learn how to use the Internet in a proper way Should students surf the Internet. Today our class had a heated discussion about whether we should surf the Internet or not.The following is our discussion.Our discussion is as follows. 60
percent of students think that it’s good for students to surf the net. First of all Internet can provide us with a great diversity of interesting information. Moreover Internet can help us to broaden our horizon improve our communication skills and make us keep on knowing the outside world.However there are 40 of the students who disagree with it. In their opinion Internet has some disadvantages. For example if you spend too much time on the net it will do great damage to your eyes which are likely to be weakened. Furthermore you tend to be mentally addicted to playing online games for they are very attractive. Of course every coin has two sides. As far as I am concerned the Internet is of great use for students to deal with their study. It`s ok to leave the Internet on so long as we are using it for our study if not turn it off So I think it is due to the correct use of the Internet that we can live a healthy and meaningful life.

And it’ s very necessary for children to have pets because sometimes we feel lonely and it also teaches us to be kind. Last year my uncle gave me a lovely dog . l like it very
much. Every day after I have finished my homework I paly with it .When I am sad I talk to it and it makes me feel happy again . So I think pets can fill our life with pleasure. 2.Nowadays raising pet is popular for more and more people. Even someone treat pet better than people. Then keeping pet whether good for us. Let’s talk about this question. For one thing Many people put so great enthusiasm on them that some pets are treated like their family members. A good relationship between people and pets can be very comfortable. First animals can be our good companions. When people feel lonely animals’gentleness will warm our heart. And when we feel anxious about work education and families playing with lovely pets can help us relax physically and psychologically. In addition there are also many reports about how animals save people from danger. For example the dog that have a keen sense of smell can help policeman to pursue bad person and poison. Moreover smart pet can help people who have physical disability such as seeing eye dog. For another there are also some people that don’t like raising pet. First they think it is a waste of time and money. When you have a pet you must spend time taking care of it. When your pet gets sick you must send it to hospital. Next too many pets make the room dirty and they may spread disease.
Things could be worse if they carrying some fatal virus.Besides some dangerous pets are a menace to their owners even a dog attack people sometimes.That’s the disadvantages of keeping a pet. In my opinion raising pet or not is a personal act and different people have different reasons to do so.
@4. What’s your favorite sport ?Why?
My favorite sport is basketball. It looks so cool TV. I have been crazy about those basketball stars especially Yao Ming ever since I was a child. Basketball requires speed height and skills. All parts of my body are exercised in this sport. Furthermore basketball is a sport more than just exercising. It is teamwork. No one can play himself. A team should work together. So I learn to cooperate with others in this game.
I play basketball twice a week. I make many good friends through this sport. Sports help everyone to keep healthy happy and efficient. So I pay special attention to games especially table-tennis. Table tennis is my favorite game. I play it almost every day Table-tennis is an ideal game us because it brings the whole body into action. Culture difference is the most main difference between eastern and western. It is especially for the Chinese and American. There are many kinds of differences and here we will take some of them for examples. First it’s about the difference of recognizing some things. In the Chinese culture dragon is a lucky animal but in the mythology of the western world dragon is seen as the evil monster. This is the recognizing difference. Second it’s about the difference of color. Because of the differences of historical culture country geography positions manners and customs Chinese have the different viewpoint with the western nations about some same color. For example the red color is always seen as the happy color when couples hold their wedding they like wearing red clothes but for the English and American people always consider the red color as atrocity unlucky because they think that the red color means bleed. This is the culture difference about color. Third it’s about the
difference of number. In the Chinese society one of the most welcome numbers is 666 which means very smooth and successful. While to English people don’t like it at all because this number stand for devil in the Holy Bible. Oppositely the western people don’t like the number thirteen but in the Chinese culture it has no especial meaning. Moreover there are some differences between Chinese and western about the thinking way.Take the appellation “leader” for instance in the western culture leader may be seen as the man who manages the team or society he or she is still a common person just like the others because of the different function the other people call him or her leader. However in the Chinese culture the appellation is given more meanings. Sometimes the subordinates see their leader as a god that’s because leaders are always given more and more privileges by the government. The subordinates want to be work and live like their leader they do everything surrounding the leader not follow the principles. These are my opinions about the differences between Chinese and western world if any viewpoint is not proper I will be very happy hoping the criticism. Maybe we can talk about it more and deeper in Chinese language.

Every person bas bis own ideal job. Some people wise to be doctors, teachers, technicists , etc. while others want to be interpreter and so on. As far as I am concerned, I have been dreaming of being a guide for a long time. First, my major is international trade,at beginning I don`t like to be a businessman, so I want to get a job about tourism. Secondly, good guides are knowledgeable and amiable, meanwhile, they have wide vision. Finally, guide can constantly expand his knowledge and understand lots of customs about different cultures and countries. To achieve my dream of being a qualified guide, I have to make sufficient preparations. From one thing, I must learn my specialty well and travel at my spare time, just as the saying goes: "Seeing is believing." For another, I should enhance my eloquence so that I can express the allusion about the view
clearly. What's more important ,I should control my mood freely and treat every traveler kindly. Being a good guide is difficult, but I believe if I endeavor to do this things in all

2.There are various kinds of jobs in the world, such as writing, nursing, teaching and engineering. But different people choose different jobs as their ideal careers. This is because everyone has his own interest.
As for me, I have made up my mind to be a teacher. I choose to do so mainly for three reasons. First, I want to teach because I like the pace of academic calendar. Two long vacations offer me an opportunity for reflection, research and writing. Secondly, I want to teach because I like the freedom to make my own mistakes, to learn my own lesson, to stimulate myself and my students. And I can have the opportunity to keep on learning.
Finally, I want to teach because, being around the students who are beginning to grow and change in front of me, I will grow and change with them too. What can be done to solve the problem of it? today , as a college student I have already known that how much love i have had from our parents. Because the more I grow up the more i understand their better. I couldn't forget the days in my childhood. When I was young ,I don't know about everything, later, since I grown up ,I thought that I could judge things by myself, but my mom and daddy both of them thought I was still too young to make things well.so there was a generation gap built up between me and my parents, We argued and even kept silence for a long time.Having come into contact I finally realized all the things what they told to me were right They are my parents
who bring me up with all their loves. The things which I was going to do they had already done, because they are well-informed.Time flying, there is no need to do anything and I known where there are my parents there is my home! Nowadays,the problems of generation gap became more and more serious. The poor relationship between parents and their children is very common. Are these problems caused by the busy
parents? Or, do the family rules affect the relationship between parents and children? Firstly, in most of the families in China both of the parents have to go out for work in order to earn more money to provide better environment for their lovely children. Unfortunately, this causes the rare communication between them and their children, since these parents always take rest during leisure time. These parents and children cannot know deeply about each other and friction will appear. Secondly, parents who ask their children to be absolutely obedient is also one of the grave causes of the generation gap between them！They do not try to communicate with their children as their equals. Thus, misinterpretation of them may easily occur.
To solve these problems, the busy parents should sacrifice their spare time to communicate with their children actively and friendly to improve their relation. At the same time, they can also observe their children`s behavior at the same time in order to understand their children`s personality as it can reduce the quarrel between them. Besides that, the parents should try to give up their absolute power in family so as to make their children feel free to chat with them What is the generation gap? It is normal if there is a generation gap, but
it is not normal when the generation gap is serious. With the development of the society, the pace of the life is becoming faster and faster. The parents are busy doing their job, children are busy studying. So there are less and less opportunity that parent and children have a face-to-face talk, and they often keep in touch just through calling and messages. So the generation gap is becoming more and more serious. There are two reasons that result in generation gap in my mind. The first one is different age, so sometimes we have different opinions to the same thing. The second one is the communication is not enough, so we can not understand each other.
To avoid generation gap. We should tolerate each other at first, inevitably there are differences between people. Next we should do more communication with our parents,so we can understand each other. If we do so, I believe we can avoid generation gap.
In my opinion, generation gap can be bridged as long as both parents and children are willing to make efforts. They may have an open talk and tell each other what they think about certain problems. They should be considerate enough to realize that each generation has its own advantages and drawbacks.
Their openness and consideration will probably result in a much
better relationship between parents and children.

As modern college students, we should get actively involved in volunteering actions. By participating, we can learn how to work well in a team, how to improve our interpersonal skills and organizational ability, Undoubtedly, all of these are critical for our person growth. So, we should take this chance to learn and to grow.
