“世界华文创意写作大会”是由中国作家协会所属中华文学基金会、世界华文创意写作协会发起主办，由上海市华文创意写作中心、上海大学文学与创意写作研究中心、澳洲拉筹伯大学网络中心、《探索与争鸣》杂志社承办、协办的国际华文创意产业界文创人员、职业作家、写作教育者的行业大会。大会旨在促进华文创意写作人才的培养，促进华文创意写作作品的培育，促进华文创意写作事业国际影响力的提升，促进华文创意写作人才、作品与创意产业、公共文化服务的联结，推进华文创意写作人才资质的国际认证，推广华文创意写作教育教学及学科研究。"

Global Conference of Chinese Creative Writing" is a professional conference of the international Chinese Creative industries and personnel, professional writer, writing educators. It is organized by the Chinese Literature Foundation under the Chinese Writers Association (CWA) and the Global Association of Chinese Creative Writing and co-organized by Shanghai Chinese Creative Writing Center, Literature and Creative Writing Research Center of Shanghai University, La Trobe University Network Center(Australia), and Explorations and Discord Magazine. The aim of the conference is to promote the development of Chinese creative writing talents; To promote the development of creative writing in China; To promote the international influence of Chinese creative writing; To promote the connection between Chinese creative writing talents, works, and creative industries and public cultural services; To promote the international certification system of Chinese creative writing talents; To promote the teaching and research of Chinese creative writing.

大会一致认为，随着中国文化创意产业的发展、中国公共文化事业的发展，创意写作的意义已经超出了高校教育学科的边界，它已经成为文化创意产业、事业的基础性力量，并将之与创意产业实践结合。
