Epic:a long and narrative poem written in an elevated style that recounts the adventures of a hero of almost mythic proportions,who often embodies the traits of a nation or people.Epics typically share a wide variety of characteristics:1)the protagonist is a hero of great stature and significance with the two troditional virtues of braverty and wisdom;2)the setting is on a grand and vast scale;3)the action requires noble,fantastic,and even superhuman actions;4)the entire epic is written in an elevated style.

名词解释（文学概论）：期待视野

“期待视野”指接受者由先在的人生经验和审美经验转化而来的关于艺术作品形式和内容 的定向性心理结构图式。它是审美期待的心理基础，是德国接受美学的代表人物之一尧斯提出的。期待视野大体上包括三个层次:文体期待、意象期待、意蕴期待。这三个层次与艺术作品的三个 层次是相对应的。简单地说，“期待视野”就是接受者以往鉴赏中获得并积淀下来的对艺术作品艺术特色和审美价值的认识理解。 接受者的巧期待视野”不是一成不变的。每一次新的艺术鉴赏实践，都要受到原有的“期待视野”的制约，然而同时又都在修正拓宽着“期待视野”。因为任何一部优秀的艺术作品都具有审美创造的个性和新意，都会为接受者提供新的不同以往的审美经验。
