自我介绍的重要性在于
1、面试的自我介绍一般是第一个问题，除了你的材料之外，这是复试现场能给老师一个第一印象的宝贵机会，老师的后续提问，一般也会从你的自我介绍中问他感兴趣的点。所以看你是个自己埋好伏笔还是挖个大坑了。
2、貌似很多学校都是要求用英文来答，也是对大家英语口语的一个检验。一般口语差的英语水平不一定差，但是口语好的英语水平一般都还可以。所以也是个展示自己英文能力的一个机会。
3、自我介绍中说什么，不说什么，怎么说，也是一个人情商的展现，夸夸其谈的，自卑拘束的，等等问题都会在两三分钟的自我介绍中暴露出来。
面试自我介绍的核心要点有两个：WHY YOU，WHY ME. 第一点就是，我为什么要选择贵学院，贵专业，它哪儿好了，哪儿吸引到我了。第二点就是，我哪儿好了，为什么有资格成为你们的学生。两边的事情都说清楚了，再加上其他一些东西润色一下，就基本成型了。
另外一个需要注意的点就是，你得体现出自己的成长性来。比如自己从小长大的经历，大学本科的学习，到现在做出考研的选择，是怎么一步步来的。这种成长性体现出来，会体现出你是个具有潜质的人，经过研究生阶段的学习将会有更大的成长。
另外就是，不能犯严重的礼貌、语法、常用习惯的错误。可以让身边英文好的同学帮你审一审，改一改，比你自己闭门造车好多了。如果想出彩，还可以开个玩笑神马的，对于缓和现场气氛很管用。当然你得保证不会冷场，不然会很尴尬的。平时多练练，多注意仪态、节奏什么的。
